Conversations with God

Do you ever just ask God tons of questions big and small? I think this is part of communicating with God, part of becoming friends with God. He is already our friend and knows way more about life, our questions, and ourselves, but sometimes it's us learning to be his friend. Psalms 139 is my favorite Psalm. I love that verse that says search me God and know me find any ways in me that are not like yours (this is my version ). In that Psalm, we find out that God created us, and he did so fearfully and wonderfully. We learn that he knew us when we were being formed in the dark and hidden place of our mother's womb (side note he planned you even if your parents did not). I tend to be a little critical of my self and often insecure. I am learning though to ask God questions. He is the one who created me why wouldn't he know the answer and we cannot change what we do not know is a problem. I often have a problem of comparing myself to others, yep this is me being real Y'all! Now ordinarily when I get in these moods where I start down the trail of I can't , and why am I not like so and so, or even why do I care so much. Usually, I can sure get the devil to jump on my bandwagon with me and tell me everything I am not and remind me of some things I even forgot. But today I simply asked God "why did you create me with such a tender heart"?
 He answered back with the sweetest answer ever "it's my most favorite thing about you" From there he began to tell me I created you to bring comfort to my people, to be sensitive to my people's needs, to show them how to lean and trust in me. What I have created for you only a tender heart can complete.
But I said God with a tender heart so much hurt seems to be involved.
If you were never hurt, sad, lonely, depressed, hopeless, or sick how could you know that I am your joy, love, hope, peace, and all that you need?
And as only God can do he said you know how you feel when you spend time creating a meal you think your family will love and someone comments back how much they didn't like it?
Well, God spent his time creating me forming me picking out my gifts and talents and I was telling him I didn't like them. I wanted something else. I wanted something more than the uniqueness that he has given me.  I was saying its to hard it's to hurtful its too lonely and why?
And God is saying all the things that you're complaining about, about yourself are the very things that set you apart from the rest of the world. These are the things I love about you.
 I never thought about God loving things about me. Now I know God loves me but think about it he has certain qualities that he has placed in all of us and he put them there for a reason. One because its something the world needs but also its something he loves. Anytime you create something or for us less crafty people when we know certain people there is always that favorite quality. Like my mother in law who could encourage a paper bag, I have a friend who could hug the loneliness away, my organized friend, my practical friend, and the list goes on. God was saying to me not only does he love me but there are things about me that are just his favorite and it happens to be one of my least favorite things about myself. Which I now know its a waste of time and mental energy to critique yourself so thoroughly. Because though I have not yet completed everything God has created me for and obviously I still have issues I have everything I need to be a success and the things that need changed God will show me and then give me the strength and courage to do the work I need to in order to be more like him and the finished product he has in mind. SO yes I am a work in progress. God is still creating me. He is pruning and chiseling away at the things that this world has placed in my life to uncover the diamonds he placed there so many years ago. Are you criticizing Gods work? Stop and have a conversation with God and see what he says he loves about you.

SO MUCH TO SEE!!! HIGHER & HEAVENLY

TWO WEEKS AGO,I HAD THE PRIVILEGE GOING WITH MY TWO DAUGHTER-IN-LAWS TO NEW YORK,  A ONE DAY BUS TOUR.NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPENED TO ME .SO EXCITED TO LEAP OUT IN FAITH,SEEING I  HAD ENDURED A FLASH  FLOOD THE DAY BEFORE,AND ELECTRIC GOES OUT, BUT RETURNS BACK ON  JUST HRS. BEFORE OUR DEPARTURE.(YES,A SHOWER!) FAMILY STILL ENCOURAGING ME TO GO ON. WATER ALL AROUND MY HOME. EVEN THO THINGS LOOKED  NOT SO GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE TO TAKE A TRIP, MY HUSBAND SAID"GO' DON'T WORRY. AND SO I DID. AFTER 12 HRS. WE ARRIVED IN THE BIG CITY. WE WALKED 14 HRS. (COULDN'T STAND STILL ON SIDEWALK (THAT'S A NO  NO)SO MUCH TO SEE & BEHOLD.ALL THE HUGE BEAUTUFUL BUILDINGS. MY FAVORITE PLACE WAS THE MEMORIAL BUILDING OF 9/11,THERE WAS  SUCH A SWEET SPIRIT THERE & LOVE. I SAY ALL THE THIS TO SAY, LIFE IS SHORT, ENJOY AND  EMBRACE EACH OTHER,AND HAVE QUALITY TIME WITH EACH OTHER. NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT FROM YOU.  ONE DAY WE WILL ARRIVE IN A CITY NOT BUILT BY MAN BUT GOD. WE CAN'T IMAGINE  WHAT HE HAS PLANNED FOR HIS CHILDREN OUR MINDS CAN'T  COMPREHEND IT ALL.GOD'S WORD TELLS US IN  REVELATION  IN DESCRIPTION ALL ABOUT THAT NEW JERUSALEM.  NEW YORK WAS AWESOME, BUT WAIT TILL WE ARRIVE IN HEAVEN, WE WILL BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD, NEW YORK'S LIGHTS WON'T COMPARE TO GOD'S HEAVENLY LIGHT. THE LAMB OF GOD. LET'S  INVITE ALL WE CAN TO COME WITH US  TO THAT HEAVENLY CITY.

I WAS CHOSEN!!!! John 15:16

You did not choose me,but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide,so that whatever you ask the Father in my name , he may give it to you.

Oh my gosh how cool is this verse? He choose me he appointed ME. He said that I should go and bear fruit that my fruit should abide in Jesus. Live In Jesus in his commands. Do as he asks. Develop a relationship with him. When I do this, whatever I ask in his name may be given to me. So in essence do this and my prayers will be answered ! Though we are always wondering how to get our prayers answered its hard for me to get past the fact  that God choose me and that he appointed me. God loves me so much. Its not about me its about him. I do nothing on  my own but its him. Its because of him that I am able to bear fruit. He says he choose me to do good. So regardless of what anyone else says or what has happened God says HE choose me to do good. He appointed me to do Good. I am good cause he says I am. Yes I am taking this very personal. Because it is . This was written for me. And well it was also written for you. Yes I have a fault of so often taking things personal well this is one area where its necessary to do so. This is for us!! If you are a new creature in Christ (2 Cor 5:21) then this is just one of the many promises found in this book for you and I.

Help us Oh lord to be a Family who always reaches up to you, and we support each other,and we always reach out to others,as you reached out for us on the Cross with an agaphe Love. May we stand firm as a family built on a strong foundation of Jesus Christ. Our Faith is in You. I pray our families will be grounded in Love, and reach out more than ever before to the hurting, lonely,and most of all The Lost.
