My wife and I have been wanting to put up a picket fence in the backyard but did not have the money to do so right now. Amazingly one day I was driving to church I saw a pile of furniture and old stuff in front of a house. It seemed to me that they had got tired of it and was throwing it away. So right then something caught my eye it was a picket fence! So the next day I thought I would stop and check it out. Sure enough it was exactly what I was looking for. It was a little old and worn and some boards needed repaired but I knew God had answered something that I didn't even ask him for. God is so awesome like that.
So while I was scraping and cutting out the bad boards I had a God moment. It goes like this; people that through away the fence represent the devil. The old fence is the sinner. When the devil thinks he has got you and you are old and beat down. Your mind might be messed up, your hair may be gray now. But just as I did you can pick them boards up and not see the bad. You see the good. What someone saw as trash you see as a blessing. This is what God does with the sinner that has been knocked down. Told he or she would never amount to anything. Was told it is to late to change. God picks them up not seeing the bad. But he sees the greatness that will shine in their lives. God knows he will have to chip away all those bad habits, but he will paint you with the Blood of Christ!!

As women we so freely give away love. What I mean by that is we have not much problem telling our husbands children friends and yes even our hair dressers we love them. I mean you don't hear guys telling their friends they love them unless it is a special occasion. I got to thinking about this as I was sending a facebook where I someone said love ya and I returned with love u too! I thought what do we mean when we say I love you to someone? I know what the Bible says love is.
We so often say I love you to show we approve of another person. We say I love you because of what the other person has done for us or especially the romantic kind of love gets thrown out there because of how the other person makes us feel. I believe we need to be more careful of how we use love. Because in essence when you tell someone you love them I really believe you are saying I will be patient with you, I will forgive easily, will be kind to you, I will suffer with you, I will not get my feelings hurt by something you said or done, I will rejoice with you over your victories, I will cry with you when you are sad,I will pick you up when you fall! This is what God wants us to mean when we say I love you. He says we are to love our neighbors as ourselves and love our brothers and sisters in Christ, but he never mentioned like! Which means we can dislike and like anything and anyone we want but we must give love to everyone! After all the only way people are going to know God loves them is by someone showing them. Until we can set down with someone and show them some of our scars our hurts and fears and let them know hey life hits us all but I know someone who got me through it all. Truly look in their eyes and say I hear you I'm sorry this has happened and I am praying for you what can I do to help and then actually help! When we decide you know what I'm going to go sit with that new person at church or simply giving them a hug when you seem them say hey glad your here hope you had a great week this is all love in action. Love is definitely a action word. Love is not meant to describe how we feel about ice cream, American Idol, or the next fad to hit. Love is not about us but rather what we can give others! We do not love people because of what they give us but we love them because of what God gave us. Its the ability to say to someone I do not need your attention 24 7 you don't even have to always acknowledge my presence but when the chips fall when your feeling all alone , I Love You. Come to me then I'll remind you what a precious jewel you are to God and his kingdom because you would not be alive if you didn't have a purpose!
When we say I love you to anyone we are saying so much in just 3 words. The final thing I think I love you says is I give you what God has given me freely because you are his creation and I respect him so I love you!
So to all who actually read this I love you! I may not speak to you daily, or even weekly, or who knows I may never speak to you personally, but you are awesome and here for a reason!! So pass on the love today!!!
